Project Overview
This project involved a full refurbishment of an existing pipework insulation system at a commercial facility in Wolverhampton. Our team was appointed to remove the existing insulation and associated boxing before installing a new trace heating system across the site’s pipework network.
The works covered approximately 3,000 metres of pipework and required careful coordination to ensure the system was upgraded efficiently while maintaining operational safety and compliance throughout.
Specification
A durable and efficient insulation system was installed to support the new trace heating infrastructure:
- Insulation: Full reinstatement of insulation integrated with new trace heating systems across circa 3,000 metres of pipework
- Exterior Finish: Aluzinc cladding with protective boxing reinstated to provide a robust, long-lasting external finish
This specification ensures reliable thermal performance while providing strong mechanical protection for the pipework system.
Installation & Accessibility
As the project was carried out at ground level, safe access was achieved using access platforms. This allowed our team to work efficiently along extended pipework routes while maintaining full health and safety compliance.
Careful planning ensured that all works were completed safely and with minimal disruption to the surrounding environment.
