Food Production Thermal Insulation Nottingham
TN Insulations Ltd
Client: Board Venture Pork Farms
Project Name: Food Production Thermal Insulation Nottingham
Location: Nottingham
Project Overview
This project involved the refurbishment and upgrade of an existing ducting insulation system at a food production facility in Nottingham. The existing insulation had deteriorated over time, reducing its effectiveness and impacting the overall efficiency of the ventilation system.
Our team was appointed to carry out a full strip-out of the old insulation, undertake necessary ductwork repairs, and install a new, high-performance insulation system. The work was carefully planned to ensure minimal disruption to site operations while maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment.
Specification
A carefully selected insulation system was installed to meet the operational and environmental requirements of the facility:
- Insulation: 50mm thermo duct board, installed with angled sections to ensure a precise fit around the ducting
- External Finish: ProClad cladding system, providing a durable, hygienic, and easy-to-clean surface suitable for food production environments
This specification ensures both thermal performance and compliance with hygiene standards required within the sector.
Installation & Accessibility
Due to the layout and height of the ducting system, safe access was a key consideration throughout the project. Our team installed and worked from fixed scaffolding, allowing secure and stable access to all areas of the ductwork.
All works were carried out in accordance with strict health and safety procedures, ensuring minimal risk to both operatives and on-site staff.
